An aspect of the Nigerian culture which may be regarded as shirk is
between boys and girls
between boys and girls
worship of ancestors
signing and dancing in public
ceremonies involving social interaction between boys and girls
excessive spending at burial ceremonies

Shirk means "making a partner [of someone]" in Islam , idolatry, polytheism, and the association of God with other deities. It is a sin to serve any idol before Almighty Allah, before Allah is the only powerful and most Holy.
