A democratic country is one in which the people have the right to participate in decision making. This is a fundamental principle of democracy, which is government of the people, by the people, and for the people. The other options like disregarding laws they abhor, violently overthrowing a government, and punishing government by not honouring tax obligation are not democratic rights and can lead to anarchy and instability.
