If \(\vec{p} + \vec{q} = \vec{0}\), what is the relationship between \(\vec{p}\) and \(\vec{q}\)?

They are parallel.

They are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction.

They are equal in magnitude and the same direction.

They are perpendicular.

If p+q=0, then p = -q which means the vectors are opposite in direction and equal in magnitude.
