Cholera is a bacterial infection of the intestines caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae.

Typhoid fever is a bacterial infection that can be life-threatening if left untreated. It's caused by the Salmonella Typhi bacteria, which is related to the bacteria that cause salmonella food poisoning.
