JAMB - Physics (1997 - No. 26)

If the load at the end of a sonometer wire is immersed in a bucket of water, the original fundamental frequency of the wire could be restored by
decrease the length of the wire
increasing the length of the wire
increasing the mass per unit length of the wire
changing the temperature of the wire

Explicación

F = \(\frac{1}{2L}\)\(\sqrt{\frac{T}{μ}}\)

The original fundamental frequency of the wire could be restored by decreasing the length of the wire since frequency is inversely proportional to length.
