During the caliphate of Abu Bakr, Zayd ibn Thabit was tasked with compiling the Quran into a single book. Zayd ibn Thabit was responsible for collecting the written fragments of the Quran and compiling them into a single manuscript. This manuscript became the standard text of the Quran and has been preserved and transmitted to this day.
