Forklaring
The OAU was founded with the main objective of promoting unity and solidarity among African states, coordinating and intensifying cooperation for development, defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of its member states and eradicating all forms of colonialism in Africa. These make the OAU primarily a political organization.
