Delegated legislation refers to laws made by individuals or bodies other than parliament but with the authority of parliament. This power is  granted through an Act of Parliament (or Parent Act), which allows specific organizations, government ministers, local authorities,or other agencies to create detailed laws within the framework set by Parliament.
