A false statement made by one party with an intention of inducing the other party to enter into a contract with him is known as
misrepresentation.
Misrepresentation is a concept in contract law where a false or misleading statement is made that convinces
another party to enter into an agreement. The statement could be a fact that is not true, or could be a promise made without any
intention of performing it.
