Okigbo Commission was the body set up to review the revenue allocation formula in 1980.
The commission known as the presidential commission recommended the following.
1. 55% to the federal government
2. 35% to state government and
3. 10% to local governments the Principles considered were:
1. Minimum responsibility.
2. Social development
3. Population and
4. Internal revenue effort.
